Flag Day

Today is SP’s Flag Day where all first year SP students support the President’s Challenge by raising funds through selling flags island-wide. I took part in this activity together with my new classmates. Here is the details of what I’ve done today. :D

As usual, I woke up at 7 and have a quick breakfast, then take a shower. After the 30-mins preparation, I did a quick walk to the campus and met my friends. I enjoyed much walking around the campus as the sidewalk for the pedestrians is provided well. :) By 8.30, each of us have got a lime-green coloured t-shirt and a collection tin. We’ve been told on the previous day that we’re assigned to Somerset.

I spent my day around the Somerset and Orchard selling flags (stickers) to the crowds. On the end of the day, we went back to the campus and counted how much we had gotten. I got 5 dollars and 5 cents.

It needs extra patience and politeness when asking people to make a donation and it is really tiring standing and walking around for 3 hours. But I’m happy that I have done something for someone who really needs it.

*got my english bad for today’s post? it’s bcause i’m sleepy~~ hoaaahmm… [yawning]
