Hey.. Look at the ‘chop’ / cancellation mark on that stamp.. “Hello from Indonesia”
Oh.. that stamp reminds me my elementary school days..
Hello Indonesia!
This morning, a decade ago, I went to school wearing elementary school uniform: white shirt and dark red shorts, with the same colored “Tut Wuri Handayani” cap. Oh, and tie too!
I reached school 15 minutes before the bell rang and cheerful patriotic songs were being played.
Hm.. I still remember the songs. Here one of them:
17 Agustus tahun ’45
Itulah hari kemerdekaan kita
Hari merdeka nusa dan bangsa
Hari lahirnya bangsa Indonesia
Merdeka..
Oh I miss those days..
Anyway,
Happy birthday Indonesia!
You’re 61 now!
