Font Rendering

A same part of website looks different in Mac and Windows. These are viewed on the same computer, same browser (Opera), same version.
I’ve just read a good article which explains font rendering in two different OS. This information might be useful to you if you:
- Care about font/type, or
- Uses Safari on Windows, or
- Questioning about font on Windows which looks crisp/sharp/jaggy-edged even with ClearType turned on, or
- Asking “Why websites/articles generally look prettier when they are viewed in Mac OS compared to Windows?”
I have uploaded an image for you to compare a page viewed in Opera Windows and Opera Mac on a same machine, side-by-side, via Parallels virtualisation technology.
Browsing experience is highly subjective; The choice of favourite browser–and rendering method–depends on you.
