Lunch at Inle
A few days after submitting our FYP Phase One report, we went to downtown for great Myanmar lunch. This lunch plan had been in our ‘Someday’ list since the early weeks of this semester, but our timetable simply didn’t have a common free slot for lunch or dinner.
Last week, we had internship briefing on Wednesday, 3 PM. Our morning lesson ended at 10, giving us a really long lunch break before the internship briefing started. We had special lunch, which is also my first special myanmar lunch at Inle Restaurant in Peninsula Plaza.

WaiYan, WaiPhyo, Chris, and Karen are waiting for bus#106 at bus stop opposite SMIT. ThantZin took this photo using his phone.
Inle Restaurant is at basement of Peninsula Plaza, a building opposite St Andrew Cathedral. Um.. Despite of the fact that I’ve been staying in this city for more than two years, that was my first visit to Peninsula Plaza.
Okay, back to the restaurant..
The restaurant is decorated with traditional Myanmar hats, sling-bags, and unique wall ornaments. Not too bright, not too dim. It’s bright enough for group lunch, and dim enough for romantic dinner. Hahaha
Selectable items on the menu is too many for me. Haha.. An indecisive guy like me will definitely confused+spoilt with choice. Tips: bring along Burmese friends!
I and Karen left the choice to our Burmese friends. We believe they knew a lot more than us. Heheheh..

First batch of dishes was Myanmar salads. Top-to-bottom: Myin Khwar Thoute (Pennywort Salad), Pea Pyote Thoute (Garden Peas Salad), and Shout Thee Thoute (Lemon Salad)
We had great+tasty+yummy meals there. The food was so tempting ’till I forgot to take a picture. Hahaha..
The last thing that we had was a sweet coconut cake named Sa Nwin Ma Kin. Great great taste

You wouldn’t believe how great this small round cake is. iLike it! You should try it yourself: Sa Nwin Ma Kin!

After the great lunch, Khai took a photo of SupernovaTeam
We took train back to campus. PyiSoe went off with Khai, Karen alighted at Dover to meet Candy, and the rest went to Clementi.

We went back to Clementi to look for some stuff before walking back to campus for the briefing.
I really enjoyed that day with them.
They are warm and friendly, know how to treat their guests really well!
Great food. Great place. Great friends. Great moment.
Did I miss anything?
Big thanks to my Burmese friends:
