These are languages that I view and edit at work. Relying on notepad to display these files adds burden to my eyes. Syntax highlighting makes lines of code easily distinguishable. You'll know this when you edit a webpage source code using notepad versus VisualStudio/Dreamweaver/Frontpage. PSPad is designed for displaying source codes. So if you're using it only to view and edit regular text files, there isn't much you can benefit from PSPad.
